Ready for a quick mindfulness check-in?

Quick question - Did you wake up happy? Does the place you are about to go make you happy? Does the way people treat you make you happy? Does the way you treat make you happy? 

Now, its ok if you are not happy all of the time. Everyone has there ups and downs but look at these questions with the full picture in mind. The reason I ask this is because I truly deeply believe everyone should be chasing what makes them happy. Over the last 3 years I have to check in with myself all the time. Running a business and being a boss can be hard.. but even in those darker moments, because I check in with myself I know that this life makes me happy! That even in the harder moments, the long term goal that I am chasing brings me joy. 

So with Mercury Retrograde OVER (hallelujah), its time to take all this Aries energy and use to chase your dreams. Lets wake up today with a simple goal... to chase our goals! Even the scary ones.

Lets live in the moment today!

Join me if you want but I wanna make a little challenge for today - lets live in the moment today! With this heavy energy lifted, and the new moon intentions set staring today being open to the Universe just seems right. Below is my tips for a few ways you can live in the moment today.
 
  1. Smile as much as possible! Smiling helps promote those carefree vibes!
  2. Don't Worry, things usually work out in the end :) 
  3. Be Positive
  4. Think of new ways to solve problems
  5. Eat slower and really enjoy each bite
  6. Include others in your day! Thinking of other people helps you to stay involved in the moment!
  7. Really listen to people, it is super common to want to be think of replies when having a conversation which usually means we don't really listen to each other! Pause and listen to each other :) 
  8. Lastly, try and put the phone away and enjoy life!
Life is so wonderful and filled with amazing people and things, everyday can be beautiful if you want it to be!

Monday Activity 

Grab a notebook or a piece of paper and write down all the beautiful things you see around you. Having the ability to appreciate beauty is vital to happiness, and this exercise helps us see the beauty that we often overlook in our daily lives. 

All you need is a writing tool and paper, I like to physically write but you could also use the notepad on your phone. Sit down in a comfortable place, maybe close your eyes for a second and when you are ready reopen them and write down what you see. 

An alternative to this exercise is you could also draw what you see, just remember, the goal is to focus on the beauty of our world!
