Changing the Monday Mindset.

Mondays are a mindset. If you enter Mondays with a negative opinion than you are more likely to attract negativity energy, this is known as “The Law of Attraction”, and attributes all the energy in your life. Over here at Crystal Bar we wanted to help ensure your Monday morning starts filled with good vibes.

The ultimate key to a easy breezy, good vibe Monday for me to get up and do something good before I start work/school. The recipe is simple, if you do good and feel good that energy will tickle through the rest of your life. So I wanted to put together a list of things that you can do this morning to make yourself feel good without your brain having to think up its own ideas. Take a read through and pick something that calls to you! 

Pick your Monday feel good activity!

I put together a list of the things I really enjoy doing and a few that I wish I could do in the morning if I had more time! If you have plenty of time in the am I highly suggest #8 Morning Bath! 
  1. Drink a big glass of water (hydrate you brain)
  2. Listen to your favorite songs
  3. Get out of bed fast! Makes your day feel so proactive!
  4. Do some stretching/yoga.
  5. Get some fresh air, I love spending a few moments outside before I have to get ready. 
  6. Dress up! 
  7. Leave earlier and take a new route to work/school.
  8. Take a Morning Bath!
  9. Do a random act of kindness 
  10. and the easiest thing, just smile :) 
Life is so wonderful and filled with amazing people and things, everyday can be beautiful if you want it to be!

Tips for #4

We wanted to offer some tips for our Monday morning activity for #4 stretching/yoga. This is one of my favorite ways to start the morning, but if you are new to stretching here are my favorite easy stretches to wake the body and make you feel good.

1. The Standing Side Stretch

(A) Stand with your feet together and your arms above your head. Clasp your hands together, with your fingers interlaced and pointer fingers extended. Inhale as you reach upward.

(B) Breathe out as you bend your upper body to the right. Take five slow breaths. Slowly return to the center. Repeat on the left side.

2.Back Twist

(A) Bend your right knee and step your right foot over your left leg. Put your right hand on the floor, fingers pointing outward, for support. Bend your left elbow and turn to the right, placing the back of your arm against your right knee. Inhale as you sit tall.

(B) Breathe out as you twist, pressing your arm into your leg and looking over your right shoulder. Hold for five breaths, then slowly return to the center. Switch sides.

1. The Butterfly
Sit on the floor with your legs straight.

(A) Bend your knees and bring the soles of your feet together, letting your knees drop toward the ground. Hold your shins as you inhale and stretch your chest upward.

(B) Exhale as you hinge forward from your hips (without rounding your back) and place your palms on the ground. Hold for five slow breaths.
